👨 About the Author
Professor, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Honored Coach of Russia
📖 Biography
Born in Yaroslavl. Later moved with his parents to Tula. His father was a chemical engineer, lieutenant colonel, and author of a textbook on explosives.
1975 — completed postgraduate studies in "Sports Cardiology" at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.
Investigated the behavior and functioning of athletes' hearts during extreme physical exertion using ECG telemetry. For the first time in cardiology explained the origin of the U wave on the ECG and described the physiological processes it reflects during ventricular diastole.
For the first time in physiology described the complete cardiac cycle, explaining the mechanism of heart filling with blood and the key role of the pericardium. Established that the heart has a 5-chamber structure (two atria, two ventricles, pericardial cavity), and the self-supply of the heart with blood is an independent third circulation circle (pulmonary, systemic, coronary).
Based on more than 20 thousand practical ECG studies of athletes of various qualifications during training and competitions (including telemetric), developed a sports training management system based on the ECG monitoring method, which eliminates overload of the heart muscle during sports activities.
Author of the registered hypothesis on the scientific discovery "Hypothesis on the mechanism of blood filling of the cavities of the human heart" (registration certificate of scientific hypothesis No. A-230 dated 06.06.2001).
Dedicated his life to studying the physiological processes of the heart and muscles, as well as developing a sports training management system, on the basis of which the scientific school "Biopedagogy" was founded.

🏛️ Pedagogical Activity
From 1988 to 1991, he worked at the Krasnoyarsk State Medical University named after Professor V.F. Voyno-Yasenetsky. Since 1992, he has been working at the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University named after V.P. Astafyev, where from 1997 to 2022 he headed the Institute of Combat Sports named after I. Yarygin and trained student-athletes and coaches in sports management based on the ECG monitoring method.
Currently continues to research the activity of the heart and muscle contraction.
📋 Practical Activity
Over the years, he headed laboratories and complex scientific groups for the training of sports teams:
🧪 Scientific School "Biopedagogy"
Founded by Professor A.I. Zavyalov. The scientific school unites research in the field of integration of pedagogy and biology in the learning process and sports training.
